🥄 What to Bring to Your First Cooking Class (And What You Don’t Need!)

So you’ve signed up for your first cooking class — exciting! But what should you pack? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Here’s a quick guide so you arrive confident, comfortable, and ready to cook.

âś… What to Bring:

1. Comfortable Clothing
Wear something breathable and casual. You’ll be moving, standing, and possibly getting a few splashes. Avoid long sleeves or delicate fabrics.

2. Closed-Toe Shoes
Safety first! Kitchen floors can be slippery, and you’ll want proper grip and toe protection.

3. Hair Tie / Cap (if needed)
If you have long hair, tie it up. Some classes may provide hair nets, but it’s always best to bring your own option.

4. Reusable Water Bottle
Stay hydrated — especially in a warm kitchen!

5. A Notebook or Phone (for Notes)
While most classes provide recipe cards, you may want to jot down tips or substitutes shared by the chef.

6. An Appetite
You’ll be tasting and eating — come hungry but not starving!

❌ What You Don’t Need:

  • Knives or equipment — all tools will be provided

  • Ingredients — everything is pre-measured and ready

  • Aprons — most classes will give you one on arrival

  • Heavy bags — space is limited, so pack light

đź“· Bonus Tip:

If the class includes photography, be camera-ready! You don’t need to dress up, but you might want to wear a colour that looks good on camera. Natural tones or soft shades work well in kitchen lighting.
